I had a week where I faced a few business challenges and some moments of self-doubt and questioning. I have developed tools that allow me to get back to my centre (where all my trust, truth and courage live) but I still experience moments where the steps seem like hard work and I have to rely on faith to keep moving forward.
One of my tools is going to this woman. I found her when my daughter was about 9 months old and I realized suddenly, “oh dear, if I have to stay in this house for one more day, I am going to run away.” I realized that staying at home was not making me happy, that what my day consisted of was not making me happy.
Now, when our lives change because of a job, or a marriage/relationship or a child, there is an accepted idea that sacrifices need to be made. “Suck it up.” “You can’t do all the things you used to do.” “Consider yourself lucky (to have such job, such husband, such child) and accept your new life.”
I realized that the things I missed weren’t superficial. They were the things that made me feel ALIVE. HAPPY. JOYFUL. IMMERSED IN LIFE. Going out of the house. Meeting new people. Working on my business, being creative. Dancing. Having adventures.
And that’s when I found Mama Gena. She came to me like an angel and I immediately signed up for one of her courses because what she was saying was like a glass of water to a woman dying of thirst. Desire. Pleasure. Fun. As she says, “Mama Gena’s goal is to seduce you into becoming the woman you were born to be and turning you on to your own desires.”
Umm, hello. Yes, please.
So I go to her when I need a lift up. When I need someone to light my fire. To remind me of my greatness. To tell me that I have everything I need already inside of me. To re-connect me with the power and joy of being a woman.
And I needed her this week.
If you need a lift up, another voice in your life – one that tells you are beautiful and powerful and glorious and that the world needs that special thing that ONLY YOU ARE, please allow yourself the time to listen to her video here – it’s one of my favourites.
As always, thank you for your time and I hope this email lifts you up and reminds you of all the glory and beauty and power we all have inside.
